I like the shadows. I’m attracted by the idea of allowing a silhouette to be intuited by showing only half of it; like in those children's books where you discover the image represented only after connecting the dots of a constellation. The tricks of the brain make us see a pipe on a canvas full of paint, a woman in the darkness projected on the cobblestones of the city. Shadows are a path that leads you to an idea. They erase the lines that trace the constellation. They reduce the image to dots. To observe them is to observe what is not there.
